The operation at the same time - a good method of treatment in patients with severe nerve damage, which worsens, or with severe numbness or weakness in the extremities, as well as in cases where the pain does not subside within 4-8 weeks with conservative therapy.

The most common and fairly effective method of surgical treatment of herniated disc is discectomy - removing the intervertebral disc surgery. Discectomy - this is not a simple operation, so it shows only when the hernia causes pain in the leg and a violation of its functions, or other serious symptoms. The usual back pain is not an indication to remove the disc.
