The defeat of the nervous system, gynecological diseases, pregnancy and menopause

The defeat of the nervous system, gynecological diseases, pregnancy and menopause

Disorders of the pelvic organs in women, complications of pregnancy and menopause can occur by various neuro-psychiatric disorders - syndrome of vegetative-vascular dystonia, lumbago, sciatica, encephalopathy, cerebral circulation disorders. The development of a pathological disorders depends on the shape of the underlying disease.

Thus, the syndrome of vegetative-vascular dystonia (VVD) often develops on the background of menopause, or inflammatory and neoplastic diseases of the pelvis. The reason is that with such a pathology is inevitable instigation of hormonal regulation of the hypothalamus, pituitary and ovarian cancer, hormonal imbalance is the cause of autonomic disorders.

Lumbago and sciatica, as well as any other radiculitis, as can often be a consequence of inflammatory diseases of the pelvic organs. But most of all - a consequence of pregnancy or uterine fibroids.

Syndrome of encephalopathy and focal circulatory disorders often develop on the background of toxemia during pregnancy, accompanied by a change in renal function (increase in pressure, concentration of potassium and nitrogen in the blood). Clinical presentation includes headache, dizziness. nausea and sometimes vomiting. Develops general motor and emotional anxiety, muscle twitching of the face and extremities, which is then followed by inhibition. May experience seizures or persistent muscle spasms.

Cerebral blood flow observed in the combined toxicity of pregnant women with high arterial hypertension. Their development is preceded by headache, nausea, change in consciousness (stupor, lethargy), the appearance of changes in the fundus, which can diagnose an eye doctor. With an increase in toxicity effects in the second half of pregnancy may develop coma (so-called eclamptic coma), which shows high blood pressure, loss of consciousness and convulsions. One of the complications of the postpartum period in the presence of encephalopathy during pregnancy, or cerebrovascular disorder - cerebral venous thrombosis.

Violations of the sensitivity of the skin of the lower limbs and abdomen, as well as the weakness of leg muscles is observed mainly in the II-III trimester of pregnancy and large fibroid uterus (size 14-16 weeks). During walking, or physical work suddenly appear attacks of weakness in the legs, feeling of heaviness in them a sense of "chills" il numbness. After a short rest, these violations are. However, in some cases they may become more persistent, with urinary retention and the appearance of constipation. These manifestations are explained by the fact that the enlarged uterus (due to pregnancy or the presence of fibroids in it) is deflected posteriorly and compresses the spinal roots, from which there is innervation of the pelvic and leg muscles. The second reason for "loss" may be a function of compression of the uterus, the abdominal aorta, causing impaired blood flow to organs and spinal cord in the lumbar spine.

Treatment depends on the shape of the underlying disease and neurological complications. Thus, when uterine cancer - is surgery and hormone therapy, with toxemia of pregnancy - Diuretic, vascular and sedatives. In cases of marked toxemia of pregnancy, and encephalopathy in an individual manner to be decided whether to retain or abortion.
