In 25% of cases occur adenoviral conjunctivitis tunicate form. In this form of the mucous membrane of the eye are formed thin film, grayish-white color, which can be easily removed with a cotton swab. Sometimes a film can be firmly soldered to the conjunctiva, beneath exposed surface bleeding. In this case, is to conduct a survey on diphtheria. After the disappearance of films usually do not leave marks, but sometimes may appear structurally unstable scars. In the conjunctiva may also be petechial hemorrhages and infiltration (compaction), which, after recovering fully absorbed.
In the follicular form of adenoviral conjunctivitis in the eyes of the mucous membrane of small vesicles occur, sometimes they are large.

This species is highly contagious keratoconjunctivitis. It affects adults. Ill families, groups. Cause epidemic keratoconjunctivitis a form of adenovirus. Infection is transmitted by contact through dirty hands, kitchen utensils, linens. Possible contamination of ophthalmic medical instruments in the hands of medical personnel.
